I’ve just finished reading Carmilla and Hungerstone and i’m looking for another book that’s similar in its themes.
anything involving gothic horror and vampires with a hint of romance (preferably sapphic) would be ideal ! bonus points if it’s a period book and has moments of introspection and discussion on women’s struggles in said time period. i’m sure there are loads of books out there with those themes but it’s so hard sorting through which ones are actually good and which ones are just YA fantasy

This one just made the Lambda awards short list, might fit the bill?
There’s that new VE schwab book, haven’t read it though.
A book that fits the description but i think is awful is Dowry of Blood, it’s absolutely the dullest book despite all the toxic vampire sex.
