Looking for a book set somewhere roughly between 1900 and the 1960s

I have a passion for history, especially for the early to mid 20th century. Other than that I am not too picky, as I am still kind of exploring what I like and what I don't like.

I would prefer it to be set somewhere in europe, but that's not a requirement. It can be non-fiction or fiction (as long as it's somewhat historically accurate). Can be related to historical events but it doesn't have to… I think everyone gets it. I'm open to any suggestions 🙂
