I have been in a slump for a while but I’m looking to get back into reading again!
I’ve narrowed it down broadly to a low (or high, I won’t be too picky if something comes to mind!) fantasy novel with existential themes, but if you’re up for a challenge I’d also love some incorporation of…
– Horror elements and/or
– Historic elements (either in cultural references or mentions of real events, idm either)
– Bonus points for a series
Servant of the Bones is kinda what got me on this, and I know a lot of Anne Rice would fit the bill, but I fear I have read most of her catalogue at this point and I’m looking to branch into something new!
Many thanks!

But Not Too Bold was written by Hache Pueyo – not a series, but it is short and sweet with vaglue gothic/history elements.
A Declaration Of The Rights Of Magicians might fit the bill
