I have severe ADHD and it has destroyed my ability to sit down and get into a good long book. But I'm not interested in giving up on reading any time soon.

I need suggestions on books that are easier for me to read within my interests. I'm looking for:

    -Novallas

    -Books strictly under 200 pages

    -Audiobooks strictly under four hours

    -Anthology collections

    -Poetry collections

    -Graphic novels

I'm open to literary any and all genres, fiction and nonfiction, except:

    -Horror,

    -True Crime,

-Honestly anything with graphic depictions of violence

    -Military/War,

-Mysteries where there’s a murder or any sort (Non-violent mysteries are fine),

    -Westerns, and

    -no Vampires or monster-fucker anything!

-Speaking of which, no erotica. Regular romance is fine, especially if it’s a rom com.

-please, no books with or for minors/teens/children.

    -No fanfics.

    -ABSOLUTELY NO age gap relationships!

Bonus points for books with BIPOC (any) /mostly non-white characters. And even more bonus points for books have women as lead characters or feminist plots and themes.

Please and thank you, good people of Redditstan, for all of your suggestions.

    1. The housekeeper and the professor by yoko ogawa is a super sweet story. I really enjoyed it and it’s only 192 pages
