I don’t have any hate in my heart for Iran, and I don’t have any faith our leadership cares about us. I need a book to read to help my mind settle down. I think this war is of our own doing and is folly for everyone involved. I feel trapped. I’m not allowed to speak up. My family wouldn’t understand my feelings. I feel I am slowly waiting out eventual doom.
A book won’t change any of that but maybe it can help reframe my mind.

Please don’t go. The regime is horrific, but you’re going to kill innocent people.
Speak out anyway. Your family should not dictate such an important decision of yours. During Vietnam there were conscientious objectors. I have recently been reading books set in Iran and Muslim-majority countries but doubt any would help. I’m sorry you are in such a delicate position. Iranians are very lovely people. They do not deserve this at all. No innocent people do.
I can’t think of any book like that but I’d like to send a massive hug! I totally agree with you that this war is completely unnecessary. Trump is playing with people’s lives like they’re little toy soldiers.
I think some books about mindfulness might be helpful, sorry I can’t come up with any titles.
Don’t go.
