    finished reading World War Z a few months back and I've been wanting to find another book that does a similar thing. I haven't found much other apocalypse fiction that's presented in that kind of historical, society scale perspective.

    anyone know any good fiction books that try something similar? with that society scale view and/or short stories that make up that larger perspective? especially any with a similar disaster/apocalypse scenario like world war z.

      That documentary / interview style is the hard part to match.

      Seconding the 2020 Commission Report recommendation below.

      Also maybe FantasticLand. More localized but still told through interviews and different perspectives building the bigger picture.
