Maybe try the Rook by Daniel O’Malley? It’s a supernatural crime solving type of idea and I think there are 4 books in the series
The Expanse series by James Corey
**Dungeon Crawler Carl** by Matt Dinniman is a lot of fun, and one you might enjoy. A regular dude from Seattle and his ex-girlfriend’s cat, are pulled into a real-life video game ‘dungeon’, when aliens bring about the end of human civilization on earth. A really silly premise, yep, but it’s a surprisingly complex and in-depth series, with great characters, tons of creative world building, humor, and heart. Very dark and dystopian as well. The audiobooks are particularly great, if you’re into that, and really breathe life into the characters, narrated by Jeff Hays. 7 books out so far, with the 8th coming out in May!
You might also enjoy the Cradle series by Will Wight, starting with **Unsouled**. A fun, fast-paced, ‘progression fantasy’ series set in a very magical world. A great cast of characters, creative world building, adventure, and an epic story told over the course of 13 books. Once again the audiobooks are top tier and really elevate the series imo, narrated by Travis Baldree.
