Hey there anyone had a good suggestion for me. Contact is one of my favorite books and looking for something new to read in that catagory. Ty for the help!
Depends on what you like about Contact. If it’s Sagan’s writing, I’d suggest Demon Haunted World.
If it’s the relatively grounded/realistic sci-fi but with good character arcs, I’d say Seveneves by Stephenson or Martian or PHM by Weir.
Editing to add: might take a look at 11/22/63 by King. It likely doesn’t SOUND like contact to you, but it’s similar in a few ways

If you like science mixed with religion/faith and the unexplained, read The Sparrow by Maria Doria Russell and then read the sequel Children of God. It will definitely scratch the same itch as Contact.
