I’ve recently gotten into reading and I’m currently about halfway through The Great Gatsby and absolutely loving it. I’m really drawn to the whole high society atmosphere, Private Social Clubs, formal dinners, Hamptons-type settings, butlers, and all the subtle social dynamics that come with that world.
Open to anything with strong writing and immersive settings, whether it leans more literary or more story-driven. Plus, if its on standard ebooks!

Rules of Civility by Amor Towles.
Really? Ok
Plenty books about high society (which no one in GG is)
Dominick Dunne
Louis Auchincloss
Edith Wharton
You might like Trust by Hernan Diaz.
Also John O’Hara’s Butterfield 8 might for the bill.
Plenty about Astors and Vanderbilts depending on whether you prefer biographical or narrative.
Rules of Civility by Amor Towles
Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld
The Nest by Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney
For a more classic choice, there’s _Brideshead Revisited_ by Evelyn Waugh. A more contemporary, less literary option could be _Crazy Rich Asians_ by Kevin Kwan. We’re talking about the kinds of books where one character might chide another for going too hard on the Blenheim Bouquet as if we all just know that’s an expensive, British men’s cologne.
Anythimg by Edith Wharton, especially The Age of Innocence and The House of Mirth.
Wooster and Jeeves
House of Mirth!!
Crazy Rich Asians series by Kevin Kwan
I don’t know if this will do it for you, but one of the most similar books I’ve ever read to The Great Gatsby is “Passing” by Nella Larsen. It has a lot more to do with racism though. As well as subtle lesbian themes that the author herself might not have even been aware of.
