I've read the first five DCC and I'm still interested in the "clever solutions to weird problems" and "creating a team (you can't entirely trust)" and "horny AI" and everything Donut related, but the level of violence is making it less enjoyable.
Any suggestions for something similar that's not all about kill or be killed?

Maybe you’d like The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet
A lot of people recommend The Murderbot Diaries and The Bobbiverse to fans of DCC
To be completely honest I don’t think you’ll find another book with a horny AI who has a foot fetish and a sassy talking cat who can shoot lasers out of her eyes, but hopefully some of these books will be enjoyable! I know for me the violence was a LOT too, but I kind of skim it or I’m grossed out for a minute lol- DCC is one of my favorite series but there are way too many times that Carl and Donut are covered head to toe in blood and gore
