Hey ya’ll, because April is Autism Awareness Month, my book club is looking to read a book about an autistic character. Any genre is on the table, so do you have any book recommendations with a focus on autism?
Act your age Eve Brown by Thalia Hibbert
(The MMC is autistic the FMC is probably AuDHD)
Vicious by VE Schwab
Victor is Def on the autism spectrum and asexual as well.
Latter-Industry-8920 on
All the Little Bird Hearts—Written by an author with autism about a woman with autism.
Character-File3221 on
Mysterious case of a dog in the nighttime and extremely loud and incredibly close (I think I like this one more)
Impossible_Cry_5114 on

Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle. Don’t let the name or the man’s other work fool you, Camp Damascus is straight-up classic horror with an autistic main who identifies herself on page as autistic, and some lovely queer representation as well. It’s creepy as all get out but doesn’t rely on gore to get there.
