Been on a military sci fi kick lately and interested if anybody has military sci fi recommendations with a romance to it. Finished up a re-read of my favorite military sci fi/apocalypse series Beyond Armageddon by Anthony DeCosmo (5 book series) which had some of this. Can be a series or standalone.

Winter’s Orbit by Everina Maxwell is a romantic space opera full of intrigue.
The protagonist of Tanya Huff’s *Confederation of Valor* does end up in a romantic relationship, but mostly she kicks alien ass and takes names.
Jack Campbell’s Lost Fleet universe. Several main arcs, a spinoff arc, and a prequel trilogy. Start with Lost Fleet: Dauntless.
Jessie Mihailik’s Consortium Rising series.
First book is Polaris Rising.
