need opinion!

i just borrowed a short version of "jane eyre", "the alchemist", "tale of two cities" and "age of innocence" from a friend of mine, i know nothing about them, no genres no idea if i will like them, did you? are they any good? what is their strongest aspects?do you suggest them???
