I've been reading a lot of devastating horror, suspense, and thrillers recently and it's been taking a toll on me emotionally. So i'm looking for some mystery/adventure novels that aren't going to make me feel like shit. I don't want anything too cozy — I'd like fast-paced but fun. ((Bonus points for MLM romance sub-plots))
I liked Grady Hendrix, but kind of got my fill of his stuff.
On the darker side, I like Jennifer Hillier and Nick Roberts a lot.
(I've already read House on the Cerulean Sea!)
