Suggest me a book with intense relationships between pretentious characters

In the past few years, I have read and LOVED:

• The Secret History by Donna Tartt

• If We Were Villains by ML Rio

• These Violent Delights by Micah Nemerever

• The Truants by Kate Weinberg

• In My Dreams I Hold a Knife by Ashley Winstead

• Heart the Lover by Lily King

I want more like these. Books that explore the fine line between toxic and passionate. Books with characters who are pretentious and a little unlikable, but also complex in their identities and relationships. Bonus points if it’s dark academia and/or a mystery too, but not required.
