Lately I have not reading much books. I used to be big reader but life took a toll. I really wanna get back into reading. Someone pls do help me in suggesting feel good books. i have read a wide range of books like collectiion of from paulo coelho to agatha christie, i love books like harry potter series, sherlock homes, and land of stories omg … those were different, the giver, and such more
i never finished self help books so yah dont need that,

    Genre:

    – no much romance typa books( lil bit can be good)

    – I want something tht would give me like “another perspective in life “ at the end

    – fantasy/fictions are good, get me into another world to escape

    – no self help books but something that would help a person improve

Suggest me books tht would come in this area and bring this kid back to being a book worm.

    1. Welcome back to books! You’ve asked for feel-good, so try *The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy* by Douglas Adams. It’s laugh-out-loud funny; do not have any food or drink in your mouth while you’re reading, you don’t want to choke.

Here’s another, if you haven‘t read it already: *A Wrinkle in Time* by Madeleine L’Engle. Ostensibly for young readers, but like Harry Potter, it’s for all ages. There’s drama, but the ending…well, I won’t give anything away, it’s just too good.

Oh, another one! To get you into another world, to help improve: *The Screwtape Letters* by C.S. Lewis. A very junior tempter in Hell has been assigned to his very first case; his uncle Screwtape, a much more experienced tempter, writes reams of good advice to him about how to bring his ”patient” into Hell. Lewis makes you care desperately about what happens to the “patient.” It‘s got a Christian vibe, but please don’t let that stop you if you‘re not Christian. I’m not religious and it’s one of my favorite books.

If you’re open to very long books, I recommend [The Hands of the Emperor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/af2bba9c-8f41-4a3e-b87a-8532a44ccb67) by Victoria Goddard! It’s a beautifully written slice of life book about the personal secretary to the emperor of the world, with a heavy focus on platonic relationships.

Or if you’re in the mood for more middle grade fantasy, I really love the [Nevermoor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/6a6d5ca1-b2f5-47be-828c-018144d3bbc7) series by Jessica Townsend. It’s my favorite series even as an adult, and the only one that makes me feel the way the Harry Potter books used to.
