I’m trying to find more books that focus less on plot and more on internal experience.
Like stories where the relationship builds slowly through small moments the kind about attention, memory, the way people notice each other.
Not really looking for fast-paced or trope-heavy romance. More like something that feels quiet, slightly disorienting, and emotionally intense over time.
Books where nothing big happens but it still feels like everything is happening underneath.
If anyone has recommendations like that, I’d love to hear them.
(Also I recently read/wrote one that leans into this exact space, so I’m curious what else exists in that lane.)
