I know that's a wide range 😅 I really liked the homesteading/frontier aspects of the later outlander books set in America. I loved reading about living off the land, building, hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, and preserving to survive. I know Little House on the prairie fits that bill (I've read Caroline's, Laura's, Rose's and maybe some others), but I'm looking for a series that's a little more mature.
Hopefully, I can get some suggestions on adult or older young adult books set on American homesteads and frontiers that are a little less violent than the outlander series.
Thanks!

It’s a single book, and still pretty violent, but you might like In the Distance by Hernan Diaz.
The Children’s Blizzard.
The Vaster Wilds by Lauren Groff is set historical fiction set in Colonial US. The main character is a young female servant who escapes Jamestown.
You might like Willa Cather’s books, like My Antonia or O Pioneers!
Into the Wilderness by Sara Donati
The Last Runaway by Tracy Chevalier
Hattie Big Sky by Kirby Larson (YA)
Buffalo Flats by Martine Leavitt (YA)
Westering Women by Sandra Dallas
