Miranda July is incredible but maybe lean more poetry than prose for this – *Milk and Honey* by Rupi Kaur hits different than her newer stuff and feels perfect for engagements

That’s a great idea for a gift! What about Pablo Neruda – Love Poems? It’s not only a beautiful book, but also has very pretty cloth bound editions, they make great gifts.
Adding – Mary Oliver, Felicity. I don’t own a lot of poetry but I do have these two, and would recommend either.
