I am 26. My childhood dog is dying, and all my friends are moving to other states. Recommend some novels that tackle coping. I typically enjoy realistic fiction.
Don’t have any recommendations but I’m sorry about your dog and friends. I’ve been there and it’s not easy but it’ll get easier.

Certainly some of the old classics deal with these issue, Old Yellow and Where the Red Fern Grows come to mind right away.
I feel like there’s also powerful themes regarding starting anew and the ending of prior things in Watership Down.

I am sorry for your losses. May I suggest Ms Ice Sandwich by Mieko Kawakami. It is not a direct comparison, but I think it may touch something for you.
