I've been watching lately endless videos that constantly promote the book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. Although it is extremely old, many people out there suggest that its lessons are timeless and apply everywhere.

Has anyone of you read it so far? If yes, what did you keep from this book's lessons and what was garbage in your opinion or unnecessary?

    1. Actually, while I used to have Think and Grow Rich, I never read it fully. I didn’t have time, then started other books. But I have brought it twice more and given it to friends. There is a recording of him speaking on Youtube called “How to develop an unbreakable positive mental attitude.” by Napoleon Hill Notes. This has helped me be successful in business.

I am not going to claim to be super successful, but I had 1 business that worked out well, that I now sold and I started another. I would not be where I am without the lessons in that video and from writings and speeches that I’ve read of his.

Perseverance is a super power. If you never give up, you can’t lose. There are no failures, only learning opportunities.

    2. Read it few years back when I was struggling with money after finishing university. The visualization stuff and goal-setting parts were actually helpful for staying motivated, but lot of the advice feels pretty outdated now

The whole “just think positive and money will come” thing is bit naive when you consider how different economy works today compared to 1930s. Still worth reading if you can filter out the old-fashioned parts though
