I’m currently reading ‘Empires of the Steppes’. I love non fiction history about ancient times. This was recommended to me when I asked about pre-civilised history. It’s really informative but I’m struggling with the locations/former countries/geography. Obviously it explains the formation of the Silk Road but I’m wondering if there’s anything I can read to help with the understanding of the geography of it all.
Also, there’s lots of books about ancient Egyptians/Greeks/Romans and so on, but I’m looking for recommendations for prehistoric anthropology and life.
TIA
