Nothing by Janne Teller, Almond by Won-Pyung Sohn, and Pew by Catherine Lacey.
These are the three books I enjoyed the most. They are under 300 pages, have short chapters, and best of all, the stories are so original that I couldn't put them down. I’d love to know if you have any similar recommendations that might make me feel the same way. I would appreciate it 🙂

Those three have such a haunting, stripped-down quality to them. You might want to try “The Vegetarian” by Han Kang – similar page count and has that same unsettling originality that makes you question everything. Also maybe “We Need to Talk About Kevin” by Lionel Shriver, though it’s a bit longer it has that same psychological intensity
