Looking for a JRPG story in a book

I was browsing the PS store and was getting nostalgic about the first time I played FF7/8/10, and was considering re-purchasing but thought I’d see if anyone has any recommendations for a similar style fantasy novel? It doesn’t need to be LITRPG – Just after the feeling of exploring a new world, with some moments that pull on your heartstrings.

Some of my favourite reads recently have been Dungeon Crawler Carl, Expanse Series, and Skyward.
