I'm looking for books in the, I don't know how to call it, "English small town drama"? category! I don't really know if "Domestic Thriller" fits but feels correct-ish.
What I mean by this is that I'd like to read more books with a similar vibe as *Other Parents* by Sarah Stovell. That book gripped me. It was thrilling, with dark secrets and scandals, school PTA and family drama, rumours, gossip, prejudice.
*The Herd* by Emily Edwards went in a similar direction.
Does anyone have recommendations?

just finished reading something similar last month and it gave me the same vibes! you might want to look into liane moriarty’s stuff – big little lies has that perfect mix of pta drama and dark secrets bubbling under surface of seemingly perfect families. the way she writes about suburban gossip and how everyone knows everyone’s business but nobody really knows anything… it’s exactly what you’re describing.
also try anything by kate atkinson if you haven’t already, she does this small town english drama thing really well where everything seems normal until it absolutely isn’t.
