looking for horror books with a violence against women plot twist

I'm looking for books that have an unsuspecting main plot with a plot twist that the central plot of the book is actually related to violence against women. The only media that I currently know of that actually have the plot lines I'm looking for are video games… Specifically Mouthwashing (you're investigating why the captain crashed the space ship -> a forced pregnancy being a big reason why the ship was crashed) and Cronos: The New Dawn (you're time traveling to learn how to stop an apocalypse from happening -> the events of the game happen because a time traveler became obsessed with one of the female characters).

I want to specify that I am a woman, and I'm interested in stories for introspection. Both of the video games had stories that emotionally impacted me in a big way, and I'm interested in learning more stories like that to learn more about myself.
