Hey everyone, I need help picking a birthday gift for a guy I’m talking to.
He’s technically an engineer (not even into IT much), but honestly his heart is in literature, music, and art. He once wanted to pursue English Honours because he genuinely loves books, but ended up choosing engineering for practical reasons.
He has this very indie/hippie, almost Rockstar vibe—like deep, artistic, a bit intense. He’s also Bengali, so I’m open to Bangla book suggestions too, but I think he mostly reads in English.
He mentioned someone he really admires
a person who achieved a lot at a very young age (like 27) and had a very impactful life, and he wants to be like him someday (I forgot the name unfortunately 😭).
I don’t remember the books from his wishlist either (bad memory, I know), so I want to surprise also impress him with something meaningful.
What I’m looking for:
Books with deep/emotional or philosophical themes
Something related to music/art/life purpose
Maybe something a bit unconventional or “soul-touching”
Open to poetry, novels, or even short reads
Any recommendations that might match his vibe?
