The shows I like are Breaking Bad, Superstore and Sherlock BBC, if that helps. I generally like shows/fandoms that include themes of unlikely friendship or horror or a snowballing lie (like Baby Reindeer).
I used to read TONS of Jacquline Wilson in the past, as well as the Chocolate Box girls (if that’s what it was called)
But I’ve grown up now lol. Does anyone have any recommendations? The last book I almost finished was The Dirt by Mötley Crüe.

those themes you mentioned actually map pretty well to some solid books. for the snowballing lie thing, you might dig into gillian flynn’s stuff – gone girl has that whole web of deception that just keeps getting worse. for unlikely friendships with some darker elements, maybe check out tana french’s detective novels, they’ve got that sherlock vibe but grittier
since you were into the motley crue book, you might like kitchen confidential by anthony bourdain – different world but same kind of raw behind-the-scenes energy. or if you want something that captures that breaking bad tension, try the power of the dog trilogy, its about drug cartels and the escalation is insane
The audiobook for Stephen kids 11.22.63
The narrator sounds just like the guy from better call saul and it has a very breaking bad feel
