I love humanity, I love the innocence that I believe lies underneath each human being and I think it’s sad to see it being torn and violated by fear and hate and misunderstanding.
I want to read something that relates to this idea. I’d appreciate any recommendations. I’d love to read something more broad and abstract regarding humanity, but even practical works or theories like pacifism or nonviolence would be great.
Any philosophy/literature works that you think I should read?
Thank you!

This might sound like a weird recommend but “The Unthinkable – Who Surives When Disaster Stikes and Why” by Amanda Ripley. It left me with feelings of hope and more faith and appreciation for humanity.
Also “Humankind A Hopefully History ” by Rutger Bregman.
