Looking for hunting horror

I’ve been looking for a book that has a specific type of horror. One where the MCs are being hunted by a mysterious creature.

I also have tried multiple horror series and authors and haven’t felt scared once (Stephen King, T. Kingfisher, Adam Nevill.) I’ve nearly given up because even if the book is good, it doesn’t scare me.

The only time I’ve felt scared reading was when I was 10 reading a fantasy series where the MCs get chased by a creepy creature and I’ve been chasing that feeling. Please help!
