I just finished The Other Bennett Sister. Romance is usually not something I enjoy but I was into this one. I fancy another well written, light hearted romance story with good characters and drama. I like Jane Austin but defo more drama and not modern.
I started reading Burn Down Master's House since, which is a completely different vibe, and I find myself thinking of my previous book!
Thanks!

If you liked The Other Bennet Sister, you might enjoy North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell, it has that same balance of romance and social drama. Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy is another good one, a bit more dramatic but very character-driven. You could also try The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Brontë if you want something with stronger emotional depth.
You can try the Seven sisters books by Lucinda Riley. They are very popular.
It feels more modern than Jane Austen but I recommend A Lady’s Guide to Fortune Hunting by Sophie Irvin. It’s funny, it’s romantic and light-hearted!
