I need books regarding a protagonist feeling alienated from everyone around them

I am disabled and really sick and can’t stand to be around people that can’t comprehend what I am up against. in fact I only began to be able to read again for the first time in ten years recently but it still really hurts my brain so the writing should be relatively simple though I’m not against trying degrees of difficulty. I miss reading. I miss relating to normal life.
