I LOVE nerdy novels. Books that feel like you're sitting in an academic lecture. RF Kuang's Babel is one of my all-time favorites for this reason. The magic system is just linguistics! That's peak!

I'm curious what else is out there for those of us who like to do homework for fun lol any genre! I love finding out about hidden gems.

The Name of the Rose. Much of the plot is driven by different Christian doctrinal schisms. By the time you’re done reading it, you’ll be able to name so many different kinds of “heresy.”

Moby Dick for all the whaling infodumps!

Discworld because Terry Pratchett has the most deep-cut referential humor. Like quoting lines from They Might Be Giants songs.

      Greg Egan’s Diaspora!

Digitized humans explore the universe, find crazy stuff

    3. Ted Chiang’s short stories are right up your alley. *Stories of Your Life and Others* as well as *Exhalation* are both phenomenal nerd-friendly collections of short stories.
