I’m looking for my next read I’m torn between a handful of books and would love some input to make the right decision.
I finished all the hunger games books and I want to read similar books. I also liked the Netflix show squid games, so that concept is included.
Some books I can’t decide between are
Battle Royale – Koushun Takami
Red Rising – Pierce Brown
Scythe (Arc of the scythe) – Neal Shusterman
All of us villains – Amanda Foody & C.L. Herman
All your twisted secrets – Diana Urban
Running Man – Stephen King
Unwind – Neal Shusterman (4 book series)
Feel free to include new suggestions, these are the few I was thinking about.

Battle Royale is probably your best bet if you want that raw Hunger Games vibe but cranked up to 11 – it’s basically the original death game story that inspired everything else. Red Rising starts a bit slow but once it gets going it’s absolutely insane, plus it’s got multiple series so you’ll have tons to read if you get hooked
I’d actually throw in The Maze Runner series too since you didn’t mention it – fits perfectly with what you’re looking for and has that same dystopian survival element. Running Man is solid King but it’s more of a quick read compared to the others, so maybe save that for when you want something shorter between the bigger series
