Hello! A few days ago, I saw someone here on Reddit mentioning that the Nazi regime had groups of women that supported and helped the regime propaganda: of course they payed the price by getting their rights limited. I am very fascinated by this topic and would love to read a novel centered on women helping regimes that will end up oppressing them (similarly to what happens in the Handmaid's Tale). I would prefer the novel to set up in a real regime and not a dystopian fantasy, but I'm open!

I would also prefer the author not to be US as I'm reading a lot of US authors lately and would like to expand my horizons a little more. Even better if the story is not set up in western history.

Sorry for all the picky requests, but since you always provide so many good suggestions I thought it wouldn't hurt to try being picky eheh
