Some of my favorite TV shows as of late have been: Mr. Inbetween, Invincible, The Boys, BEEF, Sopranos, Mad Men, Landman, Ted Lasso, The Bear, Vikings, and Game of Thrones.

I just WISH i could get the same thrill and enjoyment from reading that I do from these TV shows. I want that "OHHH!" moment I get when a plot twist happens, or a betrayal, or revenge finally happens. I know a lot has to do with stimulation, so I've actually gotten rid of my cell phone and got an e-reader (Kobo) and I'm trying to de-stimulate.

Worst part is I was actually an English major in college and I think it made me hate reading even more. Everything was so ollllddd and boringggg. Are there any good books that have that same level of entertainment as modern tv shows?

please i need to fix my brain rot

The sourthern book clubs guide to slaying vampires

    2. Try something like Recursion by Blake Crouch.

It snags you right away, it’s fast paced, it keeps you guessing, it’s fun, it’s pulpy.

      It’s crazy.

I’d say anything by SA COSBY. His books play out exactly like a binge worthy tv show and they are amazing. Gritty, street level stories often having to do with the main character having to do some dirty work in order to get out of a shitty situation. Think shows like Ozarks or Breaking Bad. Lots of twists, turns, betrayals, but also really smart writing and believable dialogue. Good people doing bad shit to save a loved one. Awesome stories!
