I'm doing the A-Z book challenge, and I need a book that starts with the letter X. The title can have "the" or "a" before the 'X'.
I prefer books by Black, Indigenous, and POC authors, but all suggestions are welcome.
My favorite genres are Literary, Contemporary, Horror, and Sci-fi.

X-Men comics got me through some rough deployments but probably not what you’re looking for here lol. For actual books, “Xico’s Journey” might work if you’re open to graphic novels – it’s got this beautiful Mexican folklore vibe. There’s also “Xenogenesis” trilogy that’s proper sci-fi horror blend, deals with aliens and humanity in ways that’ll mess with your head for weeks after. The author explores some heavy themes about survival and what makes us human. Can’t remember if there’s “the” in front but worth checking since it fits your genre preferences perfectly
