I loved Year of the Witching by Alexis Henderson. It has fantasy elements too, which is fine, as long as the core of the setting is historical in nature. But I find it so fascinating how the religion of the world shapes the whole community and plot line.
Any other historical horrors that have a strong religious element?
Thanks!
