Hi guys. I am looking for a romance book where both characters are competent on their own and are even better together. I found out it's my favourite hyper specific trope (since I hate incompetent people), so I would love recs. If it's rivals to lovers – even better. No dark romance please. I don't care if it's straight, gay, sapphic.
Books I enjoyed:
- The blonde who came in from the cold by Ally Carter (my latest romance read)
- The risk by Elle Kennedy
- Book lovers by Emily Henry
- I kissed shara wheeler by Casey Mcquiston
- King of scars by Leigh Bardugo
- Check and mate by Ali Hazelwood
- Dealing with dragons by Patricia C. Wrede
- If you could see the sun by Ann Liang
- Much ado about nothing by William Shakespeare
- Honerary mention of Adam and Ronan from The Raven Cycle
I also don't care what year it's from, or if it's a translated work. Thank you!
