Hello, my book club and I are looking for a book with the vibe from the title. Most of the time we read fantasy and sci/fi. We'd love it if there was diversity and queer representation Adult characters or at least 20+ years would also be great 🙂
Elsewhere, "permanent of being a wallflower" has been recommended, but that is not really our vibe.

oh man you might want to check out The Priory of Orange Tree – Ead is basically golden retriever energy but when things get messy she absolutely loses it in the best way. Plus loads of queer rep and the characters are all adults
Also maybe Red: A Crayon’s Story? Wait no that’s picture book lol. But for real the Priory one fits pretty well with what you’re looking for
