I would love to find a book like this one or the sequel that Shows adults taking care of and loving little creatures who are obviously anthropomorphized. SorryI don't know how to say this better. After reading this book a million times I love Talia.I love all of them. I love.\nAll the specialness about them. As a survivor of childhood abuse , I appreciate the lack of violence. And I like seeing the dads using their voices to stand up for the children. I like that the children are allowed to be who they are and are even loved more for being unique. The only other book i've read , that made me feel like I had found my family was the very secret society of irregular witches. In this one of which comes to tutor three young orphans who are witches. She ends up falling in love with their caretaker. But that part's not as important to me. I'd like low sexual relationships and and abundance of special " kids " being taken care of and protected and told they are worthy and beautiful and love just as they are. I'm really like the found family aspects and just how creative and interesting. The childlike characters are. I listen on audible, so extra credit. If it has someone good reading it. Thanks in advance.I really appreciate you all thinking about this for me.

Try *Nothing to See Here* by Kevin Wilson – similar vibes, but less fantastical (with magical realism though)
