I used to tear through books as a kid. Then my eyes got bad and that stopped. I'm recently discovering a love of audiobooks and I need some new recommendations as I'm just about done rereading old favorites. I'm hoping for things that are similar to past reads or follow the right genres and are good series.
Series I've read and enjoyed:
– Eragon/Inheritance cycle. Loved these
– Bartimaeus Trilogy
– Artemis Fowl series
– Harry Potter
– The Giver
Anything similar to these, or related genres, would be much appreciated! Thanks

Dragons riders of Pern series, Anne McCaffrey, first book Dragonflight or an omnibus worth first three books,
Valdemar books, Mercedes Lackey, many books in this world, first book Arrow of the Queen. High fantasy.
Honor Harrington series, David Weber, first book On Basilisk Station, space opera sci-fi.
Dresden Files, Jim Butcher, first book Storm Front, urban fantasy
Innkeeper series, Ilona Andrews, first book Clean Sweep. Urban fantasy. All their books are great, this is closest to other books you describe in vibe, IMO. My favorite of their is the Kate Daniels series but it’s more gritty.
I’m currently 6 books (of 9) into The Expanse series and loving it. The first book is Leviathan Wakes.
