I don't know how to exactly describe what i'm looking for. I really want to read a quiet novel without a whole lot out of the ordinary happening, but still kinda hard-hitting in the feels, if you know what I mean. bonus points if it doesn't revolve around romance. i do love books centering on family or found family dynamics, also mental health. if romance is in focus, i tend to prefer queer books.
if anybody has anything along those lines, feel free to suggest. thanks :]

Not sure if this is exactly what you’re looking for but Lost Lambs by Madeline Cash is about a family & essentially what they get up to & their own personal struggles and how they intertwined with each other. It is quite humorous too!
