He just had surgery and has been an avid reader his entire life but now needs it more than ever as he will be recovering for the next few months!
He always loved James Patterson, he just finished 11/22/63 by Stephen King but that’s all I really know. He reads the paper every single day front to back.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated!!

Tom Clancy?
My dad is 91 and is a big fan of Michael Jecks and Susanna Gregory.
Lee Child’s Jack Reacher books?
The Gabriel Allon series by Daniel Silva. They’ll keep him busy for a while – more than 20 books so far.
He should be telling you what to read!
No way an 85yo like that doesn’t know exactly what he will read next.
Also, if he hasn’t read True Grit he should. Movies don’t do it justice.
*Lonesome Dove* if he hasn’t already.
