Looking for books where big strong character is slowly shown to be vulnerable

I know it’s an overused trope but I can’t help it I love it. Romantasy also welcome. From that genre I have read many of the super populars series like Cruel Prince or Fourth Wing. Regular life romance is also great, especially if the MCs are involved in some high-stake profession. I am 23 so I would rather not read about high school stuff tho.
