Hello lovelies ☺️
I’m looking for psychological thrillers from a male POV that will completely mess with my head.
I recently read The Silent Patient and loved it, even if the twist was a bit predictable lol.
The atmosphere and tension still got me.
Now I want something darker, more intense…something that will ruin my mind.
I’d also love a bit of erotism/sexual tension, but not straight up po*n 😅
More like obsession, desire, morally grey thoughts…if that makes sense.
Any recommendations?
Thank you 🤍

Heartsick by Chelsea Cain. First in her Beauty Killer series.
Intensity by Dean Koontz
Hard Candy. It’s a movie though and not based on a book but fits your ask.
The Butcher Boy by Patrick McCabe made me feel like the wall between losing one’s self to despair and becoming a monster vs. not is paper thin, especially if you’ve not been fortunate with family/circumstance. This was back in college and I read the book in an afternoon into evening, during an up for three days straight to finish a major research paper while a couple of friends tried to keep me not sober throughout time-span, so… Grain of salt and all, but McCabe is a fantastic writer. Not big on the eroticism, there is desire but from a place of jealousy.
The Magus by John Fowles
