I am trying to get back into reading now after not reading for fun for four years due to being too swamped at college. I use to read a lot of ya books when I was younger, but I want to explore more adult books. My favorite book genre is dystopian, and I also like books that have a philosophical, psychological, or political aspect to them. I would also be interested in science fiction, horror, and fantasy. I’m not interested in ya, romantic, western, crime, self help, or booktock type books. I also love books that have any sort of unique story line or concept.

Dystopian:
The Road by Cormac McCarthy
Tender Is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica
The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham
Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood
The Ministry for the Future by Kim Stanley Robinson. A lot of geopolitical elements and science. Not a complete dystopian but moving that way.
