Okay I didn't know how to phrase title but I am looking for a book where the fmc has a great personal life with many friends,hobbies and generally a life NOT revolving around the mmc.
Maybe she knows the mmc in a professional capacity or something but she is very reserved with him and at her work because she only goes their for the paycheck,yk like normal people and does not make it her whole personality.
So the mmc writes her off as boring,awkward,aloof whatever.
But the MMC HAS TO DISLIKE WHAT HE THINKS IS HER PERSONALITY.
And she should not gaf because she does not think about him after work.
Then I want the MMC to find her in a side quest which is normal for her but he never thought she would do something like it and is flabbergasted.
I would love it if the MMC is even butthurt that she does not consider them close enough to be comfortable with him and she shoukd be like Bitch I come to work to collect a paycheck for the things I like to do out of work not to be chummy with my colleagues.
Honestly I don't know if a book like this exists as its pretty specific but the community always comes through.

I remember reading something with this exact vibe but can’t recall the title right now. The setup you described where she’s completely different outside work and he gets all offended that she doesn’t open up to him at the office is chef’s kiss
It’s so refreshing when FMCs have actual lives that don’t revolve around the love interest. Like yes girl, collect that paycheck and go live your real life with your actual friends
The part about him being butthurt that she’s not “comfortable enough” with him is perfect because it shows how entitled some MMCs can be. Work relationships don’t automatically mean friendship, especially when you’ve already written someone off as boring
