Gut wrenching books to recommend ?

I want to read a book that will make me aggressively cry, why? Idk i just want to.

Preferably nothing romance related, most sad love stories are, in my opinion, the dumbest books I've ever tried reading, they piss me off more then anything else.

If romance is the main storyline then no but if its involved but not the storyline then sure (if that even makes sense)
