not sure if this fits exactly but there’s this book about how social media algorithms basically became the new priests deciding what we believe – can’t remember exact title but was published in 2022 i think

also saw one recently about cryptocurrency and how it’s creating these weird new power structures that bypass traditional banking. these tech disruptions are wild when you think about how they’re reshaping everything from politics to religion without most people even noticing
